Creative activities

He graduated from the Faculty of Arts of the Comenius University in Bratislava. He worked as a journalist in several media companies, as a researcher at the Institute of History of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, as a spokesperson for the President of the Slovak Republic and as his advisor. He lectured at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra and was a dean of the Faculty of Mass Media at the Pan-European University in Bratislava. Currently, he works at the Faculty of Education of the Comenius University in Bratislava. He is the President of the Non-fiction Writers’ Club in Slovakia. He writes poetry and nonfiction. His books were published in 15 countries, including the USA, Canada, Great Britain, Sweden, Russia, Austria and the Czech Republic. He won numerous domestic and foreign awards, for example, the Golden Europea, the Gold Medal of Leo Tolstoy, the Fra Angelica Award, the Cross of Merit, the Egon Erwin Kische Award, the Vojtěch Zamarovský Award, the KH Mácha Award and others. Several times, he got proposed for the Literature Nobel Prize. This year, he is proposed again.
