Creative activities

Czech artist and pedagogue, who alternately lives and works in Prague and Berlin. He studied painting, graphics and psychology at the Charles University. Shortly after, he won a number of prizes and competitions in the Commercial Art category. At the end of the 1960s, he was admitted to the American Institute of Graphic Art. In 1968 he left Czechoslovakia and settled in West Berlin. Since 1971 he lectured visual rhetoric and applied semiotics at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin. In the 1990s he began teaching at the Faculty of Arts and Design of J. E. Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem. His entire artistic journey is essentially based on overcoming the limits of the Liberal and Commercial Art. His whole work can be characterized by connection of nature and art and thoughts on origin and forms of artistic creative work.
